Football fans in Obuasi and across the Ashanti Region are set for a major football spectacle as the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium as the host venue for the 2026 Division One League (DOL) Super Cup.
The pre-season competition, scheduled to run from August 10 to August 18, 2026, will bring together eight of the best-performing clubs from Ghana’s three Division One League zones, providing an opportunity for teams to prepare ahead of the new football season while showcasing emerging talents.
According to the GFA, Obuasi emerged as the preferred venue after a review of several possible locations, with the stadium’s facilities, playing surface and football heritage making it suitable for the tournament.
The 2026 DOL Super Cup will feature eight clubs drawn from across Ghana’s Division One League zones.
The participating clubs are: FC AshantiGold 04, Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs FC, Nsuopon Fidelity FC, Port City FC, Semper Fi FC, Attram De Visser SC, Debibi United FC and Tamale City FC.
Zone One will be represented by Debibi United FC and Tamale City FC, while FC AshantiGold 04 and Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs FC will represent Zone Two.
Port City FC and Semper Fi FC secured qualification from Zone Three, with Attram De Visser SC and Nsuopon Fidelity FC completing the list as the two best third-placed teams across the league zones.
The mini pre-season tournament will start on August 10 and end on August 18 in the mining township.
