MOSES ARMAH PARKER: “MY DREAM IS TO HOLD THE CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TROPHY IN TARKWA”
Medeama SC President Moses Armah says his long-standing dream is to bring the CAF Champions League trophy to Tarkwa.
That ambitious attempt begins on Sunday when the Ghana champions hosts TP Mazembe of DR Congo in a first leg preliminary round tie.
This game will be played at the TnA Stadium, Tarkwa as Medeama SC hosts the first leg encounter.
The Mauve and Yellow will look for a good result to take into the return fixture next weekend in DR Congo.
Mr Armah said this huge ambition is gradually becoming a reality as they start this year's campaign.
“In the beginning, that was my wish, and it’s coming through. I haven’t been there yet until I hold the CAF Champions League in Tarkwa,” Mr Armah told the club's media.
Medeama SC will be playing in their second CAF Champions League contest and, making it to the group phase will be a positive step towards winning the competition.
That is the dream and vision of Mr Armah, and he will hope his charges play their way out in making that ambition come to pass in Tarkwa.
Only Asante Kotoko (1970 and 1983) and Accra Hearts of Oak (2000), have won the CAF Champions League from Ghana.
