Easter Fest games this weekend in the Ghana Premier League as Asante Kotoko host FC Samartex Monday

First half goals by Kelvin Obeng and Salim Adams, handed Medeama SC a much needed win in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) on Friday as they returned to the top of the stairs.
The Mauve and Yellow beat bottom side Eleven Wonders 2-0 at the TnA Stadium, Tarkwa for their first win in seven league games.
They lead the GPL standings by a point from reigning champions Bibiani Gold Stars going into the rest of the Matchday 27 fixtures on Saturday and Sunday.
Medeama SC have 49 points from the 27 matches they have played this season as they chase a second GPL title.
They will hope results of those around them on the table works in their favour after this weekend's matches.
Gold Stars have a tough game on hand as they visit Tamale to face Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Third placed Asante Kotoko will trek to the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park, Dormaa-Ahenkroh also on Sunday to play Aduana FC who are fifth.
Fourth placed Accra Hearts of Oak will be home to Swedru All Blacks at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday as well.
As they aim to maintain top spot, Medeama SC will hope the results of these matches favours them with seven matches to play after this weekend's games.
