Frederick Lartey Otu reelected President of Ghana Taekwando Federation after Saturday's national executive elections

Incumbent President of the Ghana Taekwando Federation,  Frederick Lartey Otu retained his position in a keenly contested national executive elections held in Accra on Saturday.

Mr Otu, pulled 16 votes to win the contest against Charles Tsibo Cromwell who had 11 from delegates who attended the conngess at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Maxwell Theodore Alornyo, part of Mr Otu's team, won the Vice President contest while Simon Koku Gluikpor and Kankpenuba Peter Nuntaa Wisdom, were elected as new executive members.
They will steer affairs of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation for the next four years.

In a short address after the elections, Mr Otu promised to work even harder to take Ghana Taekwando to new heights.

He also promised to work in unity with all stakeholders as Ghana strives to gain a stronghold on the African scene.

The losing candidate in the presidential race, Mr Cromwell, accepted the choice of the delegates, and, pledged his support for the newly elected national executives.
