The Porcupines will next be in action on Sunday as the 2026-27 GPL campaign begins this weekend.
Asante Kotoko will trek to Berekum to confront the might of newly promoted Debibi United in their first game of the season.
The game will be played at the Golden City Park where United have been mandated by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to honour their home matches for the foreseeable future.
This has come about because the Debibi Presby Park where United played their home matches in the Division One League (DOL) last season, has not been approved to host GPL matches.
Asante Kotoko will go into this game on the back of success in the Democracy Cup with their win over bitter rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in Kumasi.
Coach Eric Tinkler and his charges will be in confident mood going into this fixture as they aim to start the season on a high as they challenge for the ultimate.
The former South African international, has been mandated by chieftains at the Garden City club to win the upcoming championship to pave way for greater things.
