Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko SC have confirmed the departure of 14 players from the team ahead of the 2026/2027 league season.

The new Ghana Premier League (GPL) season, starts this weekend with 18 clubs set to participate in the upcoming campaign.

The players departure, follows the arrival of new technical staff led by director of football Stanley Menzo and the assessment of some players who completed the 2025/2026 season.

Some players departed upon the expiration of their contracts while others have left after reaching mutual agreements to terminate their contracts.

The following players officially left the club upon the expiration of their contracts:

Mohammed Camara - goalkeeper, Samba O’Neil - defender, Henry Ansu - defender,
Baba Yahaya - midfielder, Peter Amidu Acquah - forward and Albert Amoah - forward.

Asante Kotoko will begin the new GPL campaign away to newly promoted Debibi United at Berekum on Sunday.
