The Mauve and Yellow are back on top of the league table with seven matches to end the season

Medeama SC reclaimed spot in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) on a weekend of high drama in the competition.

The Mauve and Yellow are now a point clear of reigning champions Bibiani Gold Stars after their win on Friday.

Medeama SC beat bottom side Eleven Wonders 2-0 at Tarkwa in a highly competitive game despite the result.

They have 49 points from the 27 matches they have played with seven games to end the season.

Medeama SC will win their second GPL title if they win the rest of their remaining matches.

Gold Stars were left ruining their chances as they lost top spot on Sunday.

The Miners were beaten 2-0 at Tamale by Karela United in a game played at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

Karela United are sixth on the table as they took their points tally to 41, aiming for a place in the top four.

Third placed Asante Kotoko played out a goalless drawn game away to Aduana FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park, Dormaa-Ahenkroh.

The Porcupines have 43 points, six points behind leaders Medeama SC with Aduana FC in fifth position with 42 points.

Accra Hearts of Oak were held to a pulsating 2-2 drawn game at the Accra Sports Stadium by 15th placed Swedru All Blacks.

The Phobians are fourth on the ladder with 43 points, with All Blacks hovering just above the relegation zone.

Bechem United beat FC Samartex 1996 2-1 in their own backyard to improve their points to 36 as they sit in 10th position.

The Timber Giants remain on 38 points and in seventh position as they saw their title hopes fade away.

Dreams FC scored an impressive 3-0 away win over Hohoe United in a game played at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, Tema New Town.

The win took them to eighth on the table with 37 points, leaving United in the relegation zone with 30 points.

Basake Holy Stars are ninth with 37 points after playing out a goalless stalemate on Saturday against Vision FC at Tema.

Vision FC, have 35 points as they sit 11th on the table, just three points above the relegation zone.

Nations FC and Berekum Chelsea drew 1-1 at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Abrankese-Kumasi.

Chelsea, are in the bottom three on the table with 32 points as they battle relegation with Nations FC three points above them as they sit 12th on the table.

Young Apostles did their survival hopes a lot of good with a comprehensive 3-0 home win over Heart of Lions at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.

Apostles, have 33 points and in 14th position just behind Lions by a point on the table.

The 2025/26 season will continue with the Matchday 28 games this weekend across all league centers.
