The event was put together by the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG), Tribe, and Afchat as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup activations.Celebrity-World-Cup-Diaries-156-1
 

It was a night filled with nostalgia, shared moments, and renewed bonds.

Present at the event were the aforementioned Abedi Pele and Anthony Baffoe, alongside former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah and Samuel Osei Kuffour.Celebrity-World-Cup-Diaries-138
 

Also in attendance were Emmanuel Armah (Senegal), Yaw Acheampong, Augustine Arhinful, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, Yusuf Chibsah, and Nii Afo Dodoo.

Further adding to the distinguished presence were Godwin Attram, Kwame Ayew, Solomon Torson, Moro Issa, Haminu Draman, Mamoud Amadou, and Mohammed Gargo, alongside a distinguished cohort of former senior Black Stars players who have proudly represented Ghana on the global stage.Celebrity-World-Cup-Diaries-129
 

Abedi Pele is a Ghana football icon and was the youngest member of the last Black Stars squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations title in 1982 in Libya.Celebrity-World-Cup-Diaries-178
 

Both Anthony Baffoe and Abedi Pele were also part of the Ghana squad that finished as runners-up in the AFCON final against Ivory Coast in 1992 in Senegal.

Throughout their time with the Black Stars, the two players were distinguished members of the team, consistently giving their heart and soul whenever on national assignment.

In recognition of their illustrious contributions to Ghana football, Kaysports therefore honoured them.
