Ghanaian top-flight side Bibiani Gold Stars are set to appoint Greek coach Petros Koukouras as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana football season.
The former SC Villa of Uganda manager is expected to take charge of the former Ghana Premier League (GPL) champions after previously serving as a FUFA Development Professional.
Koukouras, holds a UEFA A Coaching Licence and is a Sports Science specialist.
In addition to his spell at SC Villa, he has also coached Rwanda's Kiyovu Sports to add to his rich vein of knowledge on the African scene.
Coach Koukouras, takes over from Fritz Markus Schmid has officially left his position as Bibiani Gold Stars head coach.
The Swiss, joined the Miners during the second half of the 2025/26 season when they were defending champions of the GPL.
Gold Stars, will look to win back the GPL title they lost last season to Medeama SC when the new season starts.
Coach Koukouras will be charged with that responsibility to bring success to Bibiani next season.
Gold Stars will compete on two fronts next season in the GPL and the FA Cup competition.
