National light-heavyweight champion Jonathan Tetteh popularly known as 'Worldwide', retained his strap on Sunday night with a dominant win over Abdul Aziz Quartey in Accra.
The bout, was the main draw on the Resurrection Fight Night staged by Box Office Sports Promotions in association with RBS Promotions at the Laboma Beach Resort.
Referee Erasmus Owoo stopped what had promised to be a fiercely contested affair in the fifth round after Quarter had taken enough punishment from the champion.
Both boxers especially Quartey, had talked trash ahead of the contest, but, it turned out to be a one-sided affair as Worldwide dominated from the start.
The champion said afterwards: "I was really tested by Quartey and I commend him and the Wisdom Boxing Gym for their courage and character to go beyond round four.
In another main bout on the night, Seth Gyimah aka Freezy Macbones finished his Nigerian opponent Jamiiu in 57 seconds of the first round in their light heavyweight contest.
He then declared readiness to face Worldwide in Kumasi in August.
Box Office and RBS Promotions are planning to co host the rematch between Freezy Macbones and two titles holder/ champion Jonathan Worldwide Tetteh.
The Resurrection Fight Night produced fantastic performances by Abigail Quartey, Joseph Commey, Alfred Lamptey and Benjamin Lamptey all of Black Panthers Gym as they won their bouts in style.
