Asante Kotoko: 'We will bounce back against Nations FC' - Samba O'Niel

Asante Kotoko's Congolese captain Samba O'Niel says they have resolved to bounce back strongly in their next Ghana Premier League (GPL) game after a run of poor results.

The Porcupines, have dropped to fifth position on the table with 39 points, seven points behind leaders Medeama SC with nine matches to end the season.

Asante Kotoko will host Nations FC in their next GPL game on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.

And, O'Niel said, the players have resolved to win this Matchday 26 fixture and subsequent matches to close the season on a high.

This, was the aftermath of a crisis meeting the Kotoko players held to address their poor run.

The players resolved to bounce back against Nations FC in this local derby in the Garden City.

Samba, also promised his colleagues to escalate a few concerns raised at the meeting to the IMC of the club for solutions as soon as possible.

Kotoko, have won four points out of a possible nine in their last three league games, and have also been knocked out of the MTN FA Cup competition, a trophy they won last season.

Fans have been worried over their recent form, and, the Kotoko faithful will hope a revival starts on Sunday in Kumasi as they seek a first ever league win over Nations FC.
